Get a Custom Domain for Your Website
Personalize your C21 website with your own custom domain! This guide will walk you through how to change your default “c21.ca” domain into anything you want.
Step 1
Get a New Domain
Note
If you already have a domain, continue to step 2
It’s time to go shopping!
By using a domain search tool like GoDaddy Name Search, you can find and buy any available domain, and use it however you like.
Some tips on which domains to choose
Keep it short! A domain like “thebestcentury21teamincanada.com” takes a long time to type, so you might lose out on potential visitors. Instead, try something like “c21team.ca”
Try to get a domain with “.ca” or “.com” in it. These are the most popular top-level domains in Canada, so they will be familiar to your visitors
Get all the popular variations of your domain. (Eg. c21team.ca, c21team.com, c21teams.ca, century21team.ca, etc). That way, you’ll prevent anyone else from snatching up a similar domain to yours. This also allows you to re-direct traffic from these similar domains to your main one!
Step 2
Log Into Your Website
Now that you have your domain, it’s time to log into your c21 website. Head to my.hub21.ca and log in with your C21 email address. Then click the “My Website” button to go straight to your website’s dashboard.
From there, navigate to Settings > Personal Domain. From here, you’ll find all the information you need to configure your domain.
Step 3
Set Up Your New Domain
In your website’s Personal Domain settings, enter your domain into the textbox, check, and save it.
Step 4
Update DNS Settings
Head to your domain’s DNS settings (for GoDaddy, view this help article), and add an A and CNAME record using the exact values from this table. If you already have A or CNAME records under the same name, replace them instead.

Important
Only update the records mentioned above. Do not set any forwarding or redirect rules through your registrar — this can prevent your domain from pointing to your Moxi site directly. If forwarding rules have already been set up, you will need to remove them.
Once you update your domain’s DNS settings with the records above, click the “Initiate Domain Verification” button on your website.
Note
The verification process can take up to 24-36 hours (although it usually only takes a few hours). Once you’ve waited a few hours, move on to step 4.
Step 5
Switch Domains
Note
After completing steps 4-5, your website might not work correctly for a few hours while everything updates. So it’s best to make the switch during downtime.
After waiting a few hours (or up to 36 hours), go back to your website’s domain settings by navigating to Settings > Personal Domain. You should your c21 domain, and the new one that you added.
Click the button next to your new domain and select “Set Primary Domain”. If everything worked correctly, you will see your new domain when you refresh the page. However, it might take a few hours for everything to update, so be patient!
Step 6
Secure your Website
When you switched your domain, you likely noticed that your site says “not secure”, that’s because you need certification for the new domain. Go to Settings > SSL, and click the “Request SSL Certificate” button to get the certification. After waiting a few hours/days your site should be secure, but if not, go back to this page, and you should see the option to enable the certification yourself manually.
